Frequently asked questions
How far in advance should I book?
Gorilla permits are limited to a small number of trekkers per day, so we recommend booking at least 4-6 months ahead, especially for July-September and December-January.
How physically demanding is gorilla trekking?
Trekking time varies from 1-6 hours depending on where the gorilla family has moved that day, over steep and sometimes muddy volcanic terrain. A reasonable fitness level is recommended.
